LEARN THE SECRET OF NEEM
ANCIENT MEDICINE, MODERN SCIENCE
Neem is no secret to centuries of herbalists and decades of modern scientists. Like many contemporary products such as aspirin and aloe vera that have their origins in ancient herbal remedies, so has neem become regarded as a mainstream source for medicine and healing. The neem tree in all its essences, from seeds to branches to leaves, has been scientifically proven as a safe and effective treatment in many health fields.
"In India and much of Asia, lack of professional dental care is particularly acute, yet India's population maintains remarkable oral health, including dazzling smiles. This can be directly attributed to their use of neem; specifically brushing their teeth with their "toothbrush" crafted from the branch of the neem tree."
4000 years. Billions of people.
The DentaBoost Neem Complex captures nature's ancient power to contribute to healthy gums and overall oral hygiene.
MYSTICAL ORIGINS
Indian mythology tells the origin of the remarkable healing powers of neem: A celestial accident occurred, spilling the powerful magic of ambrosia over the neem tree, blessing it with powerful healing powers for all eternity. While the origin may be myth, the reality is that neem is an important part of the daily health care of nearly a billion people. Neem is one of the most ancient identifiable herbs on earth, and is also one of the most widely used.
SCIENTIFIC APPLICATIONS
Neem (Azadirachta indica), is a tree indigenous to India. Extracts from the neem tree provide high levels of antioxidants and proven immune-boosting properties. Antioxidants are natural substances which combat free radicals. Free radicals are created as the natural byproduct of your body metabolizing oxygen, as well as your body's response to environmental toxins like bacteria, cigarette smoke and alcohol. Free radicals are believed to contribute to many of the negative effects of aging and disease, including maladies related to oral health.

International studies have shown a direct correlation between levels of the antioxidant glutathione and periodontal disease (although they have not shown that low levels of antioxidants directly cause the problems.) Higher levels of glutathione have been shown to promote the growth of healthy cells and support your body's response to minor inflammation. Neem contains several key antioxidants including glutathione, quercetin and rutin. The levels of antioxidants in various plants are measured in a test called the Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity-ORAC. Neem bark has an ORAC score of nearly 500, compared to broccoli at 15, blueberries at 62 and goji berries at 253. Neem's superior anti-oxidant attributes make it ideal for helping to address one of the most widespread concerns in the US-oral health.
